Sub-Department of the Geological Prospecting

Under the authority of a Deputy Director, Sub-Directorate of Geological Prospecting is responsible for:

- Monitoring the activities of reconnaissance soil and subsoil;
- The evaluation of geological reserves of deposits;
- The administrative supervision and technical control of the research activities of minerals, mineral water and thermal mineral;
- Monitoring of exploration activities;
- Validation of the results of analysis of samples of minerals;
- Instruction authorization shipping samples of minerals to specialized laboratories records;
- Monitoring of geological research activities;
- The inventory of national mining potential;
- Synthesis of reconnaissance reports and geological research;
- Participation in the development of conventions and agreements relating to the geological exploration, participation in the development of regulations for the recognition and exploration of solid minerals.

It includes:
- The Department of Soil and Recognition Basement,
- Tracking Projects Mining Research Service;
- Service Recognition Soil and Basement Service

Department of Soil and Recognition Basement

Under the authority of a Head of Department, the Department of Soil and Recognition Basement is responsible for:

-Monitoring the activities of reconnaissance soil and subsoil;
-Participation in the evaluation of geological reserves of deposits;
-The investigation of cases to validate the results of analysis of samples of minerals;
- The organisation activities administrative supervision and technical inspection missions for mineral substances, mineral water and thermal mineral;
- Synthesis of reconnaissance reports and geological research.

It includes also the Head of Service, two (02) Engineering Studies.
 
Tracking Mining Research Projects Service

Under the authority of a Head of Service, Tracking Mining Research Projects Service is responsible for:
- Monitoring of exploration activities;
- Participation in the development of conventions and agreements relating to the geological and mineral exploration;
- Participation in the development of regulations for the recognition and exploration of solid minerals;
- Monitoring the activities of Geological and Mining Research;
- The inventory of national mining potential.

It includes also the Head of Service, two (02) Studies Engineers.
